Online panel discussion, recorded in Erfurt 06/16/2021. With Prof. Dr. Barbara Fritz and Prof. Dr. Achim Kemmerling. Organised by the University Club “Impuls. Plurale Ökonomik Erfurt”.

The covid pandemic has led us to an economic upheaval. With that, questions about the international inequality and financial stability have been growing. How can we finance the global costs of the pandemic? How does it impact development and international cooperation?
We discussed these questions with Prof. Dr. Barbara Fritz and Prof. Dr. Achim Kemmerling to get a first introduction into the international inequalities of the pandemic and the so called Global Financial Safety Net.

Prof. Dr. Barbara Fritz is professor of Latin American economics at Freie Universität Berlin.

Prof. Dr. Achim Kemmerling is director of the the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy and holds the Gerhard Haniel Chair of Public Policy and International Development.
